What to Expect from the Bromley Mindfulness Blog

What to Expect from the Bromley Mindfulness Blog

Welcome

If you’ve found your way here, you’re probably interested in mindfulness, meditation, resilience — or perhaps simply in finding a little more clarity and steadiness in a busy world.

This blog will be a place where I share three main things:

  • News and updates from Bromley Mindfulness
  • Reflections on mindfulness, meditation and how the mind works
  • Practical thoughts on building resilience in everyday life

Nothing complicated. Nothing abstract. Just grounded, usable reflections drawn from real practice and real experience.

There will be News You’ll find updates about:

  • Weekly meditation classes
  • Courses and day retreats
  • New programmes (including sleep and resilience work)
  • Occasional special events

I particularly want to help newcomers learn about what to expect.

If you attend classes, this will help you stay connected.

If you’re new, it will give you a sense of what’s available and what might suit you.

Practical Reflections on Mindfulness

I’ll be writing about:

  • How rumination and mind-loops work and what we can do about them
  • All about stress
  • How attention shapes experience
  • What resilience is (and what it isn’t)
  • I will make many small posts on small shifts that make a genuine difference

My posts won’t be long academic essays - though that may happen from time to time. They’ll be practical, clear, and grounded in experience — the kind of reflections that you can test for yourself.

Resilience 2026

Resilience is our theme for this year. It’s about learning how to:

  • Notice what’s happening internally
  • Respond rather than react
  • Recover more quickly
  • Stay steady when life inevitably moves

Meditation is our training ground for Resilience. Every day life is where we put what we learn into practice.

This blog will sit somewhere between the two.

Over time, my hope is that this becomes a resource you can return to — something that supports your practice, deepens your understanding, and perhaps reassures you that, whatever is happening in your mind, you are not alone.

Finally If you’re new to Bromley Mindfulness but local to us, I hope to meet you in person one day.

If you’re from further afield, I’m glad you’re here.

Thank you for reading — and welcome.
