Who We Are

Bromley Mindfulness is the trading name of Robert Mitchell. The Meditation Course is an online resource for mindfulness and mindfulness meditation.

This Policy describes how we collect, use and otherwise handle the "Personal Information" that we receive from you and explains the circumstances in which we may transfer this to others.

"Personal Information" is information about you which can be used alone, or combined with other information, to identify you personally.

Our Policy on Retaining Your Personal Information

Our policy is to keep as little of your information as we possibly can and to keep that information as securely as possible.

Your information and privacy is important to us. We apply a policy of retaining only the minimum information necessary for operations, legal and statutory compliance and by maintaining it as securely as possible. We use Microsoft secure cloud storage facilities, which have been approved by the European Union and UK Government's data privacy authorities, to store our data.

Legal Grounds for Collection

We will only collect, use and otherwise handle your Personal Information when:

  • It is necessary for our legitimate interests in connection with providing you with the services we offer
  • Where you have agreed to this for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes
  • Where this is necessary to satisfy our statutory obligations

How We Collect Personal Information

Forms: We may collect your Personal Information which you choose to provide when you fill in forms, online or otherwise. This may include your name, contact details, and preferences specific to particular requests or services.

Events: If you register for one of our events, we will collect whatever information you provide to enable us to enrol you.

Marketing Communications

Opt-In: Where you have provided us with your contact details, we may contact you for marketing purposes relating to our services. We will enable you to opt-in to these services.

Opt-Out: You are entitled to opt-out from receipt of marketing communication at any time and free of charge by using the contact details provided in this Privacy Policy or by using the "unsubscribe" option included in any marketing e-mail.

Third-Party Services

Some services that we provide require the involvement of third parties. We use the following services:

  • Mailerlite: Email marketing and newsletter management
  • Netlify: Website hosting and form handling
  • Google Calendar: Event scheduling and display
  • Google Analytics: Anonymous statistics about how the website is used
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel: Measuring how well our Facebook and Instagram advertising works
  • Tally: Course and retreat booking forms

Cookies and Website Analytics

Cookies are small files that a website can store in your browser. Some help a site work at all. Others are used to count visitors or to measure advertising.

We set nothing until you choose. The first time you visit, we ask you to choose between "Accept All" and "Necessary Only". No analytics or advertising cookies are placed on your device before you answer, and none are placed at all if you choose Necessary Only.

If you choose Accept All, these are set:

  • Google Analytics: counts visits and shows us which pages are read. It does not tell us who you are.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel: tells us whether people who clicked one of our Facebook or Instagram adverts went on to book.

If you choose Necessary Only, neither of the above is loaded. We do store your choice itself in your browser so that we do not keep asking. That is held in your browser's local storage, it is not shared with anyone, and it contains nothing that identifies you.

Changing Your Choice

You can change your mind at any time. The button below clears your saved choice and asks you again. If you had accepted, it also removes the analytics cookies already on your device.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not stop you using this website.
